Safe Access is a community-led initiative working at the intersection of health and technology to enable equitable healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community in India.
With the advancement in medicine and technology, healthcare and treatment have become more accessible than ever before. However, this does not hold true for the queer community, especially in developing countries like India. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ+) individuals continue to face barriers and challenges to accessing health services and, as a result, experience worse health outcomes. These challenges include but are not limited to stigma, discrimination, and violence.This was reaffirmed by the findings of our survey taken by the LGBTQ+ community across India.
